The oldest object to be made in the district?

This cremation urn was discovered during excavations carried out during the construction of the M1 motorway. The urn was found close to Manor Farm which is on the southern boundary of the parish. Made from local materials in the Bronze Age circa 3000 B.C., it is the oldest local man-made object found to date.
