The baby is Ruth Crosland born 1894. It is presumed that the adults in the picture are her father, Thomas Crosland born 1837, and her mother Elizabeth born 1847.

The Lodge has ceased to be a farm and in 2006 the whole farm site is becoming a housing development

The picture was donated to the society by Frank Thompson, Ruth Crosland's descendent.

A group from the society is shown visiting the garden which is the subject of an archaeological dig.

In January/February 2006 the site has been the subject to an archaeological dig prior to development for additional modern housing in the garden, keeping the Victorian house. On Saturday 11th February, members of the society made a visit to the site while the dig was in progress. The dig has found evidence of a post medieval house and built upon early medieval (11th-13th century) activity. In an adjacent yard some pottery evidence of Roman occupation
